In Loving Memory of Lilah 💜
On 21st March 2025, my sister gave birth to my beautiful niece, Lilah. She arrived unexpectedly early, a tiny fighter with a strong little heartbeat, but devastatingly Lilah was far too precious and perfect to stay in this world. Our hearts were broken 💔.
Although Lilah’s time with us was heartbreakingly brief, she touched our hearts in a way that no words can ever express. I feel honoured to be her Auntie and will forever treasure the precious moments I got to spend with her in hospital. I will carry these moments and her memory in my heart forever.
Losing a child is unimaginable and something no family should ever have to endure. It’s a pain you never imagine will touch your life — until it does.
It broke our hearts to lose our beautiful Lilah, but it’s also incredibly hard watching the people you love the most in the world, try to navigate life after such a profound loss.
That’s why I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon — to honour Lilah’s memory, and to support my sister Rachel, her partner Dan, and my nephew Luca, as well as other families who are walking this same painful path.
Sands provide vital support to bereaved families like Rachel and Dan, and fund research to save babies’ lives, as well as campaigning to improve maternity care.
Every donation no matter how big or small will help Sands continue their essential work and ensure that no family has to go through the heartbreak of baby loss alone.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for your support towards a cause incredibly close to my family’s heart ♥️.xxx
