Botton Village fundraiser to put towards a New Minibus

Cheryl Carr is raising money for Camphill Village Trust

The Big Botton Community Fundraising, Walk, Run, Cycle, Swim 1486 miles

Camphill Village Trust supports adults with learning disabilities or mental health challenges. We offer residential and day placements across 9 communities and a Shared Lives scheme. We provide activities which teach life skills, build self-esteem and help people to lead a life of opportunity.

Story

The residents of Camphill Village Trust at Botton Village are raising money towards a new accessible minibus for our community.

We urgently need a replacement minibus to enable us to continue supporting residents to access the activities and opportunities that are so important to their health, wellbeing and independence. The minibus will allow residents to attend walking groups, swimming sessions, trips to the coast and many other activities chosen by the residents themselves.

As part of our fundraising challenge, our aim is to collectively travel the distance in miles it would take to reach all the other communities within the Trust.

Our mission is to empower the people we support to lead more connected and fulfilled lives, while enabling them to make informed choices about how they live. Camphill Village Trust supports adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health challenges across 10 urban and rural communities and services throughout England. We support people in their home life, work, social and cultural activities, helping individuals to live meaningful and inclusive lives.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help us move closer to providing safe, reliable and accessible transport for our residents and ensuring they remain connected to the wider community.
