Story
Support Culture Dementia UK at the KEW HALF MARATHON!
Help Us Fund Respite & Isolation Services for BAME Families
We are a team of four passionate runners taking on the KEW HALF MARATHON to raise vital funds for Culture Dementia UK. Our goal? To support the development of much-needed respite and isolation services for families affected by dementia—especially those from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds.
Why This Matters
Dementia affects every community, but cultural barriers can make it even harder for some families to access the care and support they deserve. Culture Dementia UK is dedicated to breaking down these barriers, providing culturally-sensitive care, and ensuring no family feels alone or isolated.
Where Your Money Goes
All donations will directly fund our respite and isolation support services. These services give carers a much-needed break and provide safe, understanding environments for those living with dementia. Your support will help us:
- Offer free home assessments and tailored care plans
- Deliver specialist support for BAME families
- Provide emergency and out-of-hours assistance
- Expand our reach to more families in need
Meet Our Team
We’re running as a team of four, united by a shared mission to make a difference in our community. Every step we take is for families who need comfort, understanding, and culturally-appropriate care.
How You Can Help
- Donate whatever you can—every pound makes a difference!
- Share our page to help us reach more supporters
- Leave a message of encouragement for our runners and the families we support
Thank you for supporting Culture Dementia UK and helping us bring peace of mind to families who need it most!
Let’s cross the finish line together—for culture, for care, for community.
