I’m raising money in loving memory of my Brother Daniel Lockyer.

This charity is one very close to our hearts and one that helped Dan so much along with so many others.

ADAPT stands for ADDICTS ARE PEOPLE TOO. They are a charity that helps addicts in recovery to not only stop what they are addicted to but to help them stay focused and deal with the mental health trauma and suffering that led them to the addiction in the first place. They use counselling, therapy,, meditation, group activities and housing. They have mentors who themselves are in recovery and together they all help each other. ADAPT keep them on track to stay on the right road and get back everything they were at risk of losing through their addictions. They are a lifeline for so many people. Addiction is a terrible illness that you only come to know if you’ve loved someone with it and seen how it rips people and families apart. Unfortunately my brother was one of the unlucky ones who couldn’t fight the demons anymore.

Please help ADAPT to help people like my brother to have a second chance at life and know that they are worth fighting for.
