We provide specialist end-of-life care, and a wide range of support services, to over 1,200 people who are living with a life-limiting illness in the Wigan Borough. Many patients are cared for in their own homes, although we also care for people living in care homes and in our In-Patient Unit.

Story

Wigan and Leigh Hospice is marking 40 years of care and its visionary, Dr Surman, was from our very own Shevington surgery!

It is a charity which provides care and support to people who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting or terminal illness.

We have all been impacted, or known someone who has been impacted, by terminal illness in one way or another.

Mrs Gill Rigbye, a kind grandparent of school who is in her 30th year of volunteering for the charity, has teamed up with a parent, Anthony Crowder, to raise money for Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

Anthony will be running a 100 mile ultra marathon and has been given a maximum time of 32 hours to complete it!

Please support this amazing charity and Anthony by donating as much as you can.

A huge thank you for caring and showing your support.
