Story
In honour of Mrs Stones, the Chetwynde Netball teams are gathering once again for a day long tournament at Chetwynde School on Saturday 13th July. We each gained so much life experience and confidence through the hours of training and play to walk off the courts and lead the lives we now do. In appreciation of those days and in memory of a great woman, a trailblazing educator and the most stylish netball coach any team had across the UK we invite you to join the event to watch or play and to help us fundraise for The British Heart Foundation. This charity has been chosen in respectful memory of Ben Stones.
Margaret's beloved youngest son Ben died tragically of a heart attack at 52 so this is a charity that she would have wanted to support.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures.
We look forward to playing together and remembering together our amazing times at Chetwynde, our love of netball and our brilliant opportunities to excel thanks to Mrs Stones, our great school and those who committed themselves to our education.
Thanks from the event organisers!
