Story
Over the last year I have had the opportunity to take part in a number of fitness competitions and events, including completing my first marathon in April to raise money for Mind.
HYROX has become a little obsession of mine but I’ve been scared to take the leap and do a full solo despite such positive encouragement from my friends and family.
Unfortunately over the last year I’ve had the misfortune of watching a truly amazing and one of kind person be taken by cancer way too early. Watching their family remain strong and support each other through the hardest time has been so utterly humbling and I am grateful to be surrounded by such strong and loving people.
It’s only a drop in the ocean in comparison to the strength they have shown through all of this, but if they can bring themselves to face such a heart wrenching challenge, then I can do something hard and out of my comfort zone for one day.
I will be taking part in my first HYROX solos at Manchester in January and pushing myself harder than I have before. I would be so so grateful for any support you can show and for such an amazing cause. Any small donation counts and helps the fight to support those enduring the ongoing battle that is cancer.
