We build electric eco-fences in Africa to protect Africa's threatened ecosystems

Story

So who would have thought it ... in 2025 I am going to be waddling around London (hopefully a little faster than the Walrus and Beached Whale I am sometimes described as) aiming to complete my first Marathon. This has been many years in the planning (largely by watching my fellow Kenyans win in style) but yes, its finally happening! Training Updates to come!!!

I am going to be running for the Rhino Ark, a charity that is close to my heart in aid of wildlife and ecosystem conservation. Rhino Ark raises money for the building of electric eco-fences around mountain ecosystems in Kenya, namely Aberdare National Park, Mt. Kenya and Mau Eburu. This provides an "ark" for wildlife such as rhino, leopard, elephant and mountain bongo but also safeguards vital upland watertable habitats for Kenya.

As a founding member of the DeRanged Rovers, my prior support for Rhino Ark has involved running through the Kenyan bush trying not to be run over by our home made beastie - the DeRanged Rover in the Kenyan Rhino Charge. This time round, its going to be double trouble, battling the London weather and streets and then later in the year, once again battling the Kenyan bush in the 2025 Rhino Charge ...

More details of the DeRanged Rovers and our Rhino Charge escapades can be found HERE. But for now, reach for your wallets and dig deep to donate to this very worthy cause.

Thank you so much for your kind donations and support!
