For many of us, Jummah is a day that brings memories of those we dearly miss. A mother who made du’a for us. A grandmother whose love filled our hearts. Although they may no longer be with us, our prayers and acts of charity can continue in their memory.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“When a person dies, all their deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.” (Sahih Muslim) 📖✨
This blessed Jummah, make du’a for your mother, your grandmother, or any loved one who has returned to Allah. Honour their memory by giving Sadaqah and helping to feed those in need.
Perhaps the meal you provide today will become a means of mercy for them, by the permission of Allah, and a source of reward for you.
May Allah forgive our mothers, grandmothers, fathers, grandfathers, and all our loved ones who have passed away. May He expand and illuminate their graves, shower them with His infinite mercy, admit them into Jannatul Firdaus without account, and reunite us with them in the highest ranks of Paradise. Ameen. 🤲💚
