Story
The Children’s Emergency Department at Heartlands Hospital see around 41,000 children each year, many of whom come through the doors during some of the most challenging times in their lives. In this busy environment, it is important that we have a quiet, private space where families can have time to reflect or a safe space where difficult, highly emotive conversations can take place, away from the bustling ED department.
We need your help to fundraise for a dedicated family room. This room will provide a peaceful and private area for families to have important conversations with staff, and have time together, offering a quiet respite from the noise and urgency of the busy ED department.
Please help us to support our most vulnerable patients and their families.
To fundraise for this, our team will be taking on an all-day cycle and treadmill challenge in Heartlands Hospital Atrium, pushing ourselves to make this much-needed space a reality. Every donation, big or small, will bring us closer to providing a compassionate and safe environment for children and families who need it most.
We believe that every family deserves a space where they can be supported with kindness, privacy, and respect. Please consider supporting us by donating today.
