Story
This year, recognizing the global water crisis, the Chilly Run proudly supports WaterAid.
In 2019, three friends decided to brave the snow for charity, and from that moment, the Chilly Run was born—a quirky, fun-filled bikini and fancy-dress ski event dedicated to raising funds for important causes.
Claire Macfarlane, Leticia Salmon, and Sophey Harrison-Harding, who have been coming to Sainte Foy Tarentaise for over 25 years, envisioned an event that would bring the community together.
WaterAid is an international non-profit organization working to make clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere.
Their unique two-tiered approach tackles the water crisis both on the ground and through policy change. In the field, WaterAid teams work hand-in-hand with local partners to help communities access clean water and sanitation. At the same time, they engage decision-makers in governments around the world to prioritize investment in these vital services.
By using practical technologies and building local skills, WaterAid ensures that communities can maintain and manage their own water and sanitation systems for years to come. This locally driven approach creates lasting change and empowers people to take ownership of their future.
But the scale of the challenge is immense—and WaterAid can’t do it alone. They rely on the collective effort of supporters, communities, and partners to make a difference.
Here’s where you come in.
The generosity and enthusiasm of everyone who takes part in the Chilly Run—whether by skiing, donating, or cheering—helps WaterAid bring clean water and hope to communities around the world.
