Story
After a few years and a new baby I am taking my running shoes out of retirement to run the royal Parks half marathon to fundraise for Barts Charity and support the amazing hospitals of Barts Health NHS Trust (St Bartholomew's, The Royal London, Mile End, Whipps Cross and Newham).
As many of you know my amazing husband got diagnosed with cancer just 5 days before our gorgeous baby boy Lorenzo was born in January this year. As a healthy and fit young man it came as a huge shock to us and was a million miles away from the way we would of wished to start family life together.
I am in awe every day of how strong and determined he has been through this process especially having to spend so much of his time away from our newborn in the first months of his life - and although I can't make him better I can put myself through some hard work and raise money for the hospital looking after him.
David was diagnosed with a rare type of testicular cancer which has been found in his chest and we have been lucky enough that there is a specialist for this type of cancer at Barts hospital who is looking after him. All of the nurses and staff have also been amazing and any little we can give to help anyone else in this situation will make all the difference.
We are super positive for a full recovery even though it is taking a little longer than we might have hoped - I would really appreciate anything you can give to support me and my beautiful family
Chloe ❤️
