This year I have rather spontaneously decided to enter the Accuro Jersey Triathlon (with less than a month to go), taking part in the Super Sprint format of the race.

It’s something I’ve been thinking of trying for a little while now, and through some encouragement from work colleagues, have finally committed to giving it a go!

Having only started pool swimming 3 weeks ago and just 2 sea swims under my belt, this will definitely be a challenge- but I’m really looking forward to giving it my best shot and having some fun on the day!

I will be raising funds to support Mencap Jersey, a charity which supports children and adults with learning disabilities. They strive for improved services, choice and opportunity; offering support in a variety of ways.

Having worked closely with this charity through my work at Jersey Sport, I’ve had the opportunity to see first hand, the incredible impact they have had on these islanders lives. I would be extremely appreciative of any donations you are able to make in support of this challenge, which will help them to continue this fantastic work.
