Story
Dad, just like everything else, this one is for you. I’m putting on my big girl pants and jumping thousands of feet through the air for you. Some say I’m brave for doing this, this is nothing compared to the bravery my Dad continuously showed throughout his whole cancer journey.
My Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer on 5th January 2023, and since then it’s been a whirlwind of a journey, he spent a lot of time at the hospital for various different treatments, including radiotherapy and chemotherapy, plus many other tests and illnesses along the way. He was an absolute trooper throughout his whole journey and showed strength that I’ve never seen before, he was so, so brave. Unfortunately on the 12th of February 2024 we got the devastating news that his cancer had progressed again and they gave him weeks. Exactly two weeks after we received this news, Dad took his final breath at home, with us all surrounding him, holding his hand, continuously reminding him how loved he is. Since then, our lives have drastically changed, and it will never be the same again without our amazing Dad.
