Story
This fall, I'll be running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon to support Jhpiego's (Johns Hopkins Program for International Education in Gynecology and Obstetrics) mission through their Miles for Mothers program. All donations help to fund critical work to provide lifesaving healthcare to women and children in some of the world's most underserved communities. This will ultimately improve access to more sustainable, evidence-based care for mothers, newborns, and their families.
Funds raised will benefit the Healthy Birth Initiative in Kenya, which aims to cut neonatal mortality by 50% and reduce low birth weight by 30% over the next five years.
Maternal and child healthcare is a field I've always been deeply passionate about and involved in throughout high school, at Boston College, and now in my post-grad life. The work Jhpiego is doing is truly remarkable, and I am so fortunate to be able to fundraise for this organization.
As I run this race, I will be reminded of the generosity of my friends, family, and colleagues who have supported my efforts. Thank you for cheering me on!!
Much gratitude,
Chloe :)
