Hi, I'm Chloe.

I have suffered with mental health issues since I was a young child and it has taken me years to manage this on my own. I have undertaken therapy for most of my adult life, having experienced life events which made my mental health worse.

I started walking in 2023 to get myself out the house and I found that this helped my mental health more than ever before. There was something about being out in the open, in the peace and quiet which made me feel less anxious, less worried, I started to feel free and able to think more clearly! Walking has helped my mental health in so many ways and this is something I want to continue doing into the new year.

Mental health services are overrun with the growing need of people needing to access their services and many people can slip through the cracks due to this. So I thought it would be a good thing to use my walking, the very things that helped me improve my mental health to help raise some money for the mental health charity Mind in the hopes that extra money can help them continue to support people who are struggling with their mental health.

My aim for 2024 is to complete 52 walks over the course of the year!
