Story
I'm taking part in the City of Lincoln 10k 2024 as part of Team Helimed 29 supporting Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance!
When I was little I was clumsy enough to fall and crack my head (Harry Potter scar eat your heart out!). This resulted in me needing my local Air Ambulance to help get me the care I needed.
The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is one of the UKs leading Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) Charities, funded purely by the generosity of people like you! They are not part of the NHS and not funded by the Government.
If the Air Ambulance wasn't there when I needed them, things may have been very different.
At a time when every second counts, the arrival of their iconic yellow helicopter really can mean the difference between life and death.
LNAA transport the equivalent of an A&E department to people suffering from the most serious of illnesses and devastating injuries, providing the best possible treatment as quickly as possible.
I know money is tight for some but anything you can give will be greatly received. This is my first race, nerves are high but doing it for a cause like this makes it a little less scary. I'm aiming for a sub 50 minutes run- wish me luck!
