Did you know many children in Uganda don’t have access to a safe playing space? Next summer, I’m volunteering with Play Action International to change this! We will be transforming an empty field at a local school into a vibrant playground, so that children can access a childhood!

Your generous support will enable Play Action International to create a legacy of play within the local community, so that a safe environment can be created where children's development and well-being are supported, and where children are able to learn essential skills that will allow them to reach their potential. The playgrounds and play programmes bring about remarkable changes:

- 98% of schools report increase in pupil attendance.

- 74% of children give 'The Playground' as a reason to attend school.

- 83% of teachers report improvements in children's attention and behaviour in classes.

To kick start my fundraising journey, I will be running a 100 miles in January- every mile is dedicated to giving these children the childhood they deserve!
