Story

If you've seen the recent line-ups for festivals such as Glastonbury this year (and many years before), you may notice that only approximately 10% of the acts are female. As well as this, only between 2-5% of music producers are female. This is a serious issue within the music industry, and to address this imbalance, 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' is a night to showcase the musical talents of female performers at Stamford Schools. Bands from all ages within the school will be playing their own original songs and well known-covers sang by female artists.

Peterborough Women's Aid, a local charity focused on helping women suffering through domestic abuse, will use your donation to:

- Upgrade their refuge accommodation

- Provide clothes, toys and toiletries to families who arrive with nothing

- Fund trips and events for children

- Support their community group for survivors

Donations are vitally important to be able to keep their life-changing services going.

Please help us to support Peterborough Women's Aid as we celebrate women in music.
