Story

WOW i did it! It was a HOT one!! But I ploughed through! 🌞

1:23 i did it in! 22mins quicker than I'd hoped!!!

I can't believe I'm writing this but, me, yes me...I've signed up to a 10k in 2025, I'm scared, nervous and very anxious but this just a personal journey this is a journey so close to my heart, for our son Max & all his friends 🧡

Fundraising for autism-related causes wasnt a hard choice for me, it was deciding which specific autism related charity to choose from, that was hard!. We have used many autism charities to help support Max's journey. They help individuals and families affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Wether that be emotional support for the individual, parent/carer & family memebers. Physical support such as creating safe spaces for Max to attend such as his favorite "summer club" where he recives 1:1 support meaning he can attend these sessions regulary. This club is funded by "Action For Children" - my chosen charity who I am fundraising for as they have been in Maxs life since 2021/2022.

A little insight into "Action For Children"

We work closely to improve the lives of children, young people & familes across the UK. This includes parenting classes, nurseries, and children’s centres. We provide breaks for young carers, and extra help for disabled children. It’s supporting young people at risk of homelessness

We’ve been helping children for more than 150 years. Today, we have 372 services across the UK, in local communities, in schools and online- HOW AMAZING IS THAT!?

Without "Action For Children" Max would have struggled massively during no school hours but thanks to the great staff/1:1s Max has met over his time there he now feels safe, happy and content going! We'd be lost without his "summer club"

There are various ways to raise funds and awareness for autism, and above is just a snippet of where our money would be going!
