Story
As the East Midlands' only hospice for children and young people, Rainbows is a sanctuary where life-limited children and their families can find the care and support they desperately need. Our incredible team works tirelessly to relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, and support parents and siblings through their bereavements, caring for children until the very end.
I am fortunate to call Rainbows my workplace, where I have the privilege of being a nurse alongside an inspirational and dedicated team. This year has brought personal challenges for me, including the insertion of a suprapubic catheter, which has significantly impacted my confidence in many aspects of my life, particularly in running. However, I am determined to rise above these challenges.
I will be participating in the AJ Bell Great North Run on September 7th, 2025, as part of 'Team Rainbows'. My goal is to raise awareness about Rainbows and everything it stands for—reminding us all that we can overcome obstacles and that where there is a will, there is always a way.
I invite you to visit our website at www.rainbows.co.uk to learn more about how your support helps families navigate through their toughest times. Together, we can create precious memories for those who need it most. Please consider helping our team brighten short lives by donating towards our target of £300. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
