Help ROC Solid Give Vulnerable Young People a Brighter Future
Imagine being 16 and facing life alone—no stable home, no support, and no one to turn to. That’s the reality for many young people across County Durham and Teesside. But ROC Solid is here to change that.
Who We Are
ROC Solid is a registered charity based in Newton Aycliffe, dedicated to supporting vulnerable young people aged 16 to 25 who are homeless, leaving care, or living in unsuitable or unsafe conditions. Since 2007, we’ve provided more than just a roof over their heads—we’ve offered hope, stability, and a path to independence.
What We Do
We offer two core services:
Accommodation-Based Support: We provide safe, supported housing in over 50 flats and houses, including our 24/7 staffed bases like Hope House. Each young person receives tailored support to help them build life skills, manage finances, and prepare for independent living.
Floating Support: For those living in temporary or permanent housing, we offer short- to medium-term support to help them stay on track, overcome challenges, and maintain their independence.
Our clients often face complex issues—mental health struggles, substance misuse, learning difficulties, or histories of abuse or exploitation. Some are young parents working hard to reunite with their children. Others are survivors of trafficking. Every story is different, but every young person deserves a chance.
Why We Need Your Help
We’ve already helped over 300 young people find safety, stability, and a future. But the need is growing. With your support, we can:
Renovate more properties to create safe, welcoming homes
Provide essential items like bedding, food, and toiletries
Offer therapeutic and emotional support
Help young people access education, training, and employment
Every donation—big or small—makes a real difference. You’re not just giving money. You’re giving someone a second chance.
