On 17th June 2026, our beautiful daughter, Olivia, was born sleeping at just 29 weeks. Although nothing could have prepared us for this, the care received at Basildon hospital was nothing short of amazing. The hospital were able to provide us with a cooling cot for our time there, which became one of the greatest gifts we could have been given.

The Abi Cooling Cot gave us more days with our little girl so that we could hold her, introduce her to our families and simply spend time being her Mummy and Daddy. The memories we gained and the time we spent together were only made possible due to the cooling cot.

We are so incredibly grateful for Abigail's Footsteps and the families who fundraise for this charity. Without them, our time with Olivia would have been shorter.

This is the first charity we have chosen to support in Olivia’s memory. Our initial goal is to raise money to fund cots. Each Abi Cooling Cot costs £3,000 and will be given in Olivia's name, so that another family can be given the same precious time that we were so fortunate to have. Every donation will help ensure that parents are given the chance to make memories with their baby and say goodbye in their own time. We hope providing a cot in her name will continue to bring comfort, love and precious moments to families for many years to come.
