Story

On May 26 2024, I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon (26 miles!) in aid of Scottish Mountain Rescue.

After spending much time in the mountains, I have come to know just how important the work of mountain rescue teams are. Not solely for extreme accidents, but for all aid, from minor incidents to search and rescue, the work of the Scottish Mountain Rescue teams is so important to keeping the wilds and mountains of Scotland accessible, keeping everyone who takes part in them, safe. Yet, 3/5 of their rescues are funded entirely by charitable donation, and are run fully by the work of volunteers.

For this reason, and for all of my friends and family who venture into the mountains, I am aiming to raise £600 for Scottish Mountain Rescue. Please donate anything you can to help my reach my goal and to help the volunteers of SMR continue their incredible work.

Thank you and see you at the finish line!
