Story
Let’s get the obvious out of the way: anyone who knows me well knows I am not built for speed! 🤣 I once had a plaque in my kitchen that read, "I gave up exercise due to health reasons... my thighs rubbed together and my knickers caught fire!" The reality is, at my heaviest of over 23 stone, this was probably not entirely avoidable. 🫣🤣
However, most will know that for the last four years, I have lost a dramatic amount of weight. What was once a hard and fast HELL NO has now become a possibility! 🙏🏼 On April 12th, 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a very special cause.
Over the past few years, we have lost some of life’s most treasured people, and that hurts deeply. Yet charities like Isabel Hospice provide outstanding support—not only to those battling with cancer but also to all those affected around them. If I can do something so far out of my comfort zone and raise a few extra pounds so that they can continue their efforts to be there for more people, I’ll gladly run the risk of my knickers catching fire! 🥰
I can’t thank you all enough for reading this far. Your support means the world to me and to those who benefit from this incredible charity. Please consider donating whatever you can; it really will make a massive difference as I aim to raise £2,500 for this worthy cause.
