Hello!

I am raising money for Meeting Needs, the event industry charity, as I learn to swim in my quest to complete a triathlon.

Before last summer, I had never even done front crawl. Water was not a friend of mine, and the thought of being immersed in h2o gave me the heeby jeebies. Especially in open water! So, like a totally ridiculous person, I decided that would be a good time to sign up for a triathlon.

AND I AM TERRIFIED.

Meeting Needs supports an array of projects, and every penny donated goes towards making a difference.

Projects they have supported this year include:

- https://www.happydayscharity.org/ - Set up by three mums in 1992, Happy Days Children's Charity helps families and groups by organising and funding special days and holidays such as trips to the seaside, theatres, zoos, museums, outdoor activity centres, sporting events and other educational and cultural activities for children in the UK living with mental, physical and emotional difficulties.

- https://clownswithoutborders.org.uk/ - We support children affected by war, conflict and natural disaster to heal, learn and thrive through play.

- https://thesparklefoundationuk.co.uk/ - Our volunteers are out 7 days a week delivering food to families in need, hot meals, shopping for senior citizens, therapy sessions, clothing, personal care items, bikes for work. We don’t do stigma and dislike red tape, if we can help, we will. We provide mental health support via therapy sessions, food boxes, safety routes, financial aid for people faced with difficult situations.

- https://www.ellas.org.uk/ - We do everything we can to ensure survivors of trafficking and exploitation have all they need to recover and build lives that are safe and free.
