Story
We’re running the 2026 London Marathon together in memory of our wonderful Nan, who we sadly lost on 26 April 2025. The marathon takes place exactly one year later, on 26 April 2026 - we couldn’t ignore the significance of that date. As soon as we realised, we knew this was something we had to do. It feels like the perfect way to honour her, mark the day, and carry her memory with us through every mile.
Our Nan meant the world to us. She was loving, selfless, and always ready with a smile or a word of encouragement. She had a huge heart and was endlessly proud of her family. We miss her more than words can say, and this marathon is our tribute to everything she was to us.
We’re raising funds for Age UK, a charity that supports older people all over the country. They do incredible work, from offering friendship and advice to providing practical help for older people facing loneliness, poverty, or health challenges. It’s a cause that’s very close to our hearts, and we know our Nan would be so proud to see her memory helping others.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference - helping Age UK continue their vital work, and helping us honour our Nan in the most meaningful way we can.
Thank you so much for your love and support 💛🌼
