Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 · 13 October 2024 ·

Nearly half of all refugees are children and more than ever before are unaccompanied, often embarking on long and dangerous journeys to find a safe place to call home. We help child refugees access their right to reach safety, then support their first steps to rebuilding their lives.

Story

Jade and Jack are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon this October and we need your help to raise some much needed cash-money for Safe Passage.

We’re running to raise money for a very special charity. Safe Passage is a balm to the UK’s hostile environment to refugees. In addition to their campaign and advocacy work, the good folks at Safe Passage also work directly with refugees and displaced people, supporting them through often cruel legal process and bureaucracy. Their work helps refugees find safe routes of passage and reunites children with families after often terrifying ordeals that frankly nobody should ever suffer. Thank you to Safeer for choosing us to run on #TeamSafePassage.

We know that lots of people are feeling strapped for cash right now, so if donating to our fundraiser isn’t possible it would mean so much to us if you could share our Just Giving page with your networks and on social media.

Conversely, if you are feeling a little flush, you are extremely welcome to donate generously and buy us doughnuts after the race. That would be lovely.

We’ll post little updates here to let you know how we’re doing with our training – and you can also find us both on Strava where Jade shares her unique brand of existentialist running commentary and Jack tells you about his sick burps. It’s riveting stuff.

Thank you, friends.

Jade and Jack xx
