Ironman Nice for Shooting Star Children's Hospice

Ironman Nice · 16 June 2024
Following a 15 year ambition I've finally plucked up the courage to complete the Ironman triathlon in Nice in June this year. To make this 4km swim, 180km cycle and 42km run worth something I'd like to raise money for a charity which means a lot to me and many others.
Life changing illnesses have taken their toll on our family over the past few years, as it has for many. The impact of life limiting conditions, such as cancer, on children and their families is profound. Fortunately there are some brilliant organisations, professionals and charities that support families in these difficult times. One of these organisations I'm raising money for this year, Shooting Star.
Shooting Star Children's Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families across Surrey and London.
Along with raising money for Shooting Star I'd also like to dedicate the race in memory of Lauren Wilson, James Wilson, Rupert Heggs and Linda Kilbey.
