Story

As you may know, my 2025 was marred by heart issues; admitted multiple times in to hospital, each time my kids not knowing if dad would die or not, that weighs so heavily on your mind as you are the focus of attention at the amazing Royal Surrey Hospital. A bit too real, tbh.

After three cardio-versions and one ablation it seems to be all over. If you want details of these procedures look on https://www.bhf.org.uk/ , they make me sound pretty tough tbf, but I'm not, none of these would be possible without the BHF's work over the years.

Sadly this was not enough to save my cousin Mark who died a couple of years ago, as kids he was like the brother I never had, of course his death was forefront on everyone's minds as I was spending time in various emergency wards. You are incredibly missed Mark, xxx

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. Along with cancer, heart issues take too many lives, whilst the government wastes money on pretending it is still relevant on the world stage, people die. If you can please spare some money to help the BHF, (or Cancer Research) you will be part of what needs doing to help you, your family, friends, community and society. Click the Gift Aid button and your income tax is diverted from the nonsense the government gets up to and goes straight to helping keep people alive.

Please give if you can, times are hard, charity does begin at home, please do not leave yourself short. But if the cost of a missed pint or coffee could be sent towards a good cause, the buzz for you will be better than that pint or coffee.

Thank you, Chris. x

BE AWARE: When donating on Just Giving you will see a box below the donation amount, misleadingly saying they won't be charging the BHF a fee and inviting you to "make a donation". This is made to look like a charitable donation and defaults to 15%. It is NOT a charitable donation and goes straight into Just Giving's coffers on top of their fees. Whilst strictly speaking they don't charge the BHF, they do charge YOU. They take 2.9% plus 25p per donation.

To swerve that little scam, change the amount to "other" in the dropdown list, then put 0 in the amount box.
