Story

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance provides life-saving, pre-hospital critical care, to patients in need. They are a vital part of the community across Dorset and Somerset and they rely on your support.

I’m supporting DSAA as the service they provide is funded by charitable giving; by people like you. Last year, they were tasked to 2,954 incidents, with each mission costing approximately £3,500.

Please join me in helping to raise funds for this life-saving service. Together, with your support, they can be there for patients.

Since 2014 I have cycled almost 70,000 miles including trips to Europe and a circumnavigation of Ireland. During these years I have cycled most of the way around the island of Britain and am now left only with the top left corner, north west Scotland and England down to the Welsh border where I ended my journey around the Welsh coast in 2020. So it's time to complete the circuit, appropriate in the year that the King Charles III Coastal path has been opened. I shall get on a train at Bristol on 22nd May, spend the night in Inverness before another train to Thurso the following day and then I shall start cycling along the north coast of Scotland. Turning the corner, I'll make my way south, doing a bit of island hopping on the way, before following the coast of Cumbria and Lancashire and, all being well, arriving in Chester 19 days later. A train from Chester to Westbury should see me home on 11th June.
