I’m raising money for Brighton & Hove LGBT Switchboard as it celebrates 50 years of supporting LGBTQ+ people. For half a century, Switchboard’s helpline has been a lifeline for thousands, offering calm, compassionate listening at moments of fear, confusion, and crisis.

Today, that legacy continues through incredible in-person services tackling isolation for older LGBTQ+ individuals, dementia, bereavement, sexual harm, domestic abuse, gambling harm and recovery and more. Switchboard has never "just answer calls"; today it builds community, dignity, and hope.

To mark 50 years of Switchboard, I wanted to challenge myself to do 50 inking portraits of LGBTQ+ icons. For every £10 donation I'll draw an LGBTQ+ icon of your choice. I do all my drawing in Procreate, on and Ipad.

When I draw I usually obsess with realism but I want to push my boundaries and do extreme light and shade highlighting and no blending or gradients.
