I'm taking part in this challenge because I’ve always believed that education is one of the most powerful tools for changing lives…

Over the next 30 days, I'll be joining a team attempting to walk the equivalent of the entire perimeter of Nepal, covering a distance of more than 3,000km. It's a significant challenge, but the reason behind it makes every step worthwhile.

Together, we're raising money to help build a brand-new school in the remote village of Odane, Nepal.

The Purpose

The impact of this project will be immediate and life-changing. The new school will provide 11 classrooms for around 110 children who currently face significant barriers to accessing education. Many children in the area spend up to three hours every day walking to and from school. Some are unable to attend regularly because the journey is simply too difficult.

Imagine being a child and spending hours every day getting to school before you've even opened a book. That's the reality many children in Odane face today. This project will create much more than a school building. It will create opportunity. More time learning, less time travelling and a brighter future for children, their families and the wider community.

The Challenge

As part of this fundraising effort, our team is walking the equivalent of the entire perimeter of Nepal, covering more than 3,000km between us.

I have personally committed to completing 300 km in 30 days. That's 10 km every day for a month. Rain or shine. Workday or weekend. The distance will get covered!

There will undoubtedly be a few sore legs, early mornings and moments where I question whose idea this was, but compared to the challenges many of these children face every day, it feels like a small sacrifice to make.

The Target

Together, we are aiming to raise £40,000 to help build this new school.

Even better, every donation will be matched pound for pound by Archway Building Consultancy up to the target, meaning your contribution will have double the impact.

£25 becomes £50

£50 becomes £100

£100 becomes £200

Every pound genuinely goes twice as far.

Let’s be honest. Most fundraising pages ask for money and leave you wondering where it goes. This one is different. You are helping to build a real school for real children.

Your support could help provide clean water through a well, solar power for lighting, classroom furniture, safe wash facilities and learning spaces that will serve this community for generations.

We're not just raising money for a building. We're helping create 11 classrooms, opportunities for 110 children and a future where education is within reach, not a three-hour walk away. If together we can make that happen, every step will be worth it.

Please give generously. Every donation will be doubled, every pound will make a difference and every step brings us closer to making this school a reality. Thank you for your support!
