Story
Edit: Thank you to everyone who donated. The day was fantastic. I completed the race in just under seven hours but what was more amazing was that my Dad met me at the finishing line which I was not expecting. It was a very emotional moment and it turns out that this was his last trip out. He died a week later on 16th May. He was a brilliant person who will always be loved.
On the 9th May, I will be taking part in my first ultramarathon, the Dukeries 40 race. 40.8 miles around the Clumber and Welbeck estates. I am hoping to complete it in around 6 1/2 hours.
I have decided to run on behalf of Rotherham Hospice who have been supporting my Dad, David Bliss, through his end of life care.
Rotherham Hospice ensures individuals and families receive comfort, dignity, and support exactly when they need it most.
Together, we can help them continue adding more life to every day - making a real difference for those facing terminal illness in our community.
