Story
Hello!
As it says on the tin, I am running a marathon in April in aid of Prostate Cancer Research UK. The formal spiel about the charity is at the end, but prostate cancer is the most common cancer in the UK so there is sadly a very high chance that you'll be directly affected by it or know someone who will.
It is objectively stupid to run for 26 miles and yet I shall do it because stupidity has never stopped me before. I will endeavour not to become a Strava Wanker, but I cannot promise that it won't take over my life and my conversation topics will decline accordingly. Make your own boredom worth while!
The first marathon was run by a bloke called Pheidippides who died pretty much the moment he finished it. Hoping for a slightly better result than that.
*Photo is from a run in 2015. I shall not be doing the Brighton Marathon in my pants. Unless....?

Prostate Cancer Research are dedicated to creating brand new prostate cancer treatments. Prostate cancer is now the most diagnosed cancer in the UK and 11,500 men die from the disease every year. People affected by prostate cancer need breakthrough treatments, and research is the only way to turn this hope into reality.
Their vision is clear; a world where people are free from the impact of prostate cancer. I’m part of #TeamPCR because I share this vision. Will you help me support their research?
