Story
In 2005 I was diagnosed with quite an aggressive cancer and fortunately with the great care provided to me at RCHT Treliske, especially on the Lowen Ward and the Sunrise centre I made a complete recovery. So in 2015 to celebrate my tenth anniversary of being cancer free I did the London 100 cycle challenge to raise money for charity.
Now twenty years on I decided to challenge myself again and the RCHT Pedal for Patients challenge (18th – 20th September) is the perfect opportunity, which coincidently will be twenty years to the day that I commenced my intensive chemotherapy regime at the Lowen Ward.
Pedal for Patients is 184 miles over three days and 13,000 feet of climbing ☹ - however a bad day in the saddle is better than a good day on chemo…
With your support, I will be helping to enhance the care given to people across Cornwall at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust.
Your donation will be used to enhance and innovate facilities, provide advanced equipment, support ground breaking research and even help boost the wellbeing of the NHS staff themselves.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a different. Thank you.
