Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.

Our friend Graham Scott (Scotty) passed away on the 2nd Jan 2026 in The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow.

Scotty was a fit and healthy man that looked after himself. A devoted father to Callum and Adam and a loving husband to Lynsey, they had recently celebrated 20 years of marriage.

He was one of the lads, enjoyed his music, fashion, nights out and going to the football. He had just returned from a boys trip to Germany, which he organised, which saw us go to 3 games from 3 different leagues. It was a wonderful weekend!

In October 2025 after a short bout of sickness Scotty was diagnosed with bile duct cancer - a rare and aggressive form of cancer. This was shocking news but Scotty was determined to beat it. Sadly though, after each medical procedure the diagnosis got worse and worse. During this time Scotty fought every day with tremendous courage and dignity. Just before Christmas Scotty received the devastating news that there was no more that could be done.

Scotty was admitted to the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice on the 19th of December 2025. The care Scotty and his family got for the 2 weeks he was there was amazing. It’s hard enough having to cope with a family tragedy but especially at that time of year, it makes it that much harder. Scotty’s determination to make it through Christmas and New Year for his family and against the odds was incredible.

As his closest friends we are so grateful to the hospice and would like to remember Scotty by raising money that will go towards helping others in their time of need. It was also Scotty’s wish to support The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.

Scotty did the Kiltwalk in 2022 with his son Adam… so you could say we are walking in his footsteps.

Anything that you can give to help us reach our target would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Shandy, Chris, Paul, Hendy, Fraz, Steve and Dunnet.
