100 mile cycle for North West Cancer Research

Chris Dewsbury is raising money for North West Cancer Research Incorporating Clatterbridge Cancer Research

100 mile cycle for North West Cancer Research · 5 July 2026

We are an independent charity dedicated to putting our region’s cancer needs first, funding pioneering research to tackle the cause, improve the care and find the cure for cancer. We focus on the types of cancer that affect people living across North West England and North Wales the most.

Story

On Sunday 5th July I’ll be cycling 100 miles to raise money for North West Cancer Research, for those battling cancer, for those we’ve lost, and for the families who keep fighting.

Cancer has affected people close to me — more recently my uncle Rob Aindow and my friend James Kinch, who are both currently fighting cancer.

Alongside friends, I’ll be taking part in the Liverpool–Chester 50-mile cycle challenge, organised by North West Cancer Research. I’ll be riding with Jason Sealeaf, Tom Sealeaf, Jacob Disbury, Josh Disbury, Daniel Disbury, Dave Dewsbury, Paul Walsh, and Luke Goodridge.

But for some of us, the challenge won’t end there. After the initial 50 miles (and some quick refreshments), We'll get straight back on the bike to complete another 50 miles — following a route I’ve ridden for years, but this time riding with purpose.

Any support — sharing, donating, or cheering us on — genuinely means the world. Thank you 🙏
