Story
I'm running the Manchester marathon to raise funds for Prevent ALL, who are on a mission to:
- Prevent Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) in children, by supporting the research, development, testing and rollout of a preventative treatment and,
- Supporting children and their families undergoing treatment for Leukaemia and other blood cancers.
Tommy, our youngest sone was diagnosed with ALL aged 4. He completed over 3 years of treatment consisting of:
- Near daily mix of Chemotherapy and Steroids
- Regular Lumbar Punctures
The treatment is toxic, Tommy is one of the lucky ones! He completed his treatment 18 months ago. More info on ALL and the research can be found on our website https://preventall.org/.
