I`m raising money for MS Society, but what is MS: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition that affects your brain and spinal cord.

The coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged. This causes a range of symptoms like blurred vision and problems with how we move think and feel.

Once diagnosed, MS stays with you for life

More than 130,000 people in the UK have MS.

In the UK people are most likely to find out they have MS in their thirties, forties and fifties. But the first signs of MS often start years earlier. Many people notice their first symptoms years before they get their diagnosis.

MS affects almost three times as many women as men.

I personally know people with MS within my family and socially who have dealt with this condition for decades and I have seen many others being diagnosed more recently.

So, I have decided to try and raise awareness by challenging myself to completing 2 marathons in 7 days – Rotterdam on the 14th April and London on the 21st April

I have a minimum target to raise of £3000.00 and I am hoping to achieve this within the next 7 weeks.

I will start to provide weekly training updates to allow people (who want to) to follow my progress

Whilst time isn’t important when we talk about what I have decided to complete and the charity I am raising sponsorship for - I would like to complete each marathon with a time of sub 3hr 45mins……
