Story
My Dad Chris loved railways, and we often had family trips to the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway, which are fondly remembered.
The RHDR has a proud history. Since its founding 93 years ago it has served holiday makers and locals alike –and was even requisitioned during the war to improve the coastal defences.
However, along with other heritage railways, the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway was badly affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Donations will help to ensure that the Railway not only survives safely but also steams on to its centenary in 2027.
