Story
In November 2026, we’re walking across the Sahara Desert — a week on foot, extreme heat, long distances, and tough terrain, with nights camping out in the desert. It’s going to push us. We’re doing it to raise money for Samaritans.
Every six seconds, someone in the UK contacts Samaritans, and every call is answered by a volunteer who will listen without judgment. A real person who is just there - 24 hours a day.
For many people, especially in the middle of the night, Samaritans is the only place there is to turn. They’re often called the fourth emergency service. But unlike the other emergency services, Samaritans rely entirely on volunteers and donations to keep the phones answered.
We’re raising money for our local branch, Weston-super-Mare — part of that national network — and covering our own costs for the trip, so every penny you donate goes straight to Samaritans.
If you can spare anything, please donate below. And sharing this page helps just as much.
Thank you.
