We offer mental health support using sports to lower the suicide rates in the UK

Story

1 in 8 men report experiencing symptoms of mens mental health problems.

Suicide is the biggest killer of people under the age of 35 and the biggest killer of men under the age of 50.

Medway United have been working hard within the last few years to raise awareness of mental health within our football club through our mental health champion Ryan Abrahall.

Within our club we also have many people that have stories to relate to mental health that has affected there life's in some way or another.

THE ME7 PODCAST have recently also been making regular shows related to mens mental health to spread the word within there Gillingham Football Club Podcast and having monthly shows just based on mental health.

So MEDWAY UNITED and THE ME7 PODCAST and various Gillingham socials and a few Gillingham Fc legends are coming together to play a charity football match on Saturday 25th May 2024 at The Star Meadow Complex Gillingham to raise awareness and much needed funds for the charity Head in the game which brings football and mental health together.

This event will be sponsored by Dan Welch Scaffolding.
