Armed-services designed fitness challenge. · 2 June 2025

Still here 20 years later! In this, my 20th anniversary year as CEO of Julia’s House, I will attempt 20 fundraising challenges.

Story

What's my Challenge for Julia's House?

For my part in the Julia's House 20/20 Challenge, I'm going to be completing a tough, armed-services designed fitness challenge.

What is the 20/20 Challenge?

The other challengers joining me in raising funds for Julia's House include an MP, a pop star, a premier league football manager and local entrepreneurs. We all aim to raise £5,000. The target overall for the Julia's House 20/20 Challenge is £100,000.

Starting this summer, along with my own armed forces fitness course, other challenges include abseiling down Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower; a 60km ultra-run in the Lake District; a skydive, and getting a charity-themed tattoo.

It will be really tough for everyone involved - not least for Julia's House CEO Martin Edwards who is completing all the 20 individual challenges himself as well - but not as tough as the challenges the children and families face every day: frequent medical emergencies, round the clock care, and all the pressure on family life this creates.

Please sponsor me and help preserve care for the children now and in future.

Thank you so much :)
