Story
My son, Taika, was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma in June 2024. At just three years of age, he battled through surgery, six months of chemotherapy and weekly tests.
Whilst sat in hospital for three days at a time during Taika's chemo sessions, I vowed to do something to raise money for the team at Young Lives vs Cancer. They've done so much to support us at a time when my wife was also pregnant with our second child.
With Taika thankfully now fully recovered (and embracing causing chaos at home and school!) and our 1-year-old daughter refusing to sleep through the night, I did the only logical thing that a tired, unfit, middle-aged man could do.... I signed up to run 100km on the Jurassic Coast. 🤔
So, if you can spare a few pennies to support a charity who do so much to support families going through a cancer diagnosis, it would be very much appreciated (and I'm sure it will help motivate me to emerge from my current woeful state of fitness in time for race day on 16th May)...
