It is just over 10 years since our lovely daughter Penny died due to meningitis. She would be 28 now and not a day goes by when she isn’t in our thoughts. I am wanting to raise money for the Meningitis Research Foundation and am entered into the Winter Spine Race in January to trudge to Scotland and hope to be sponsored for this. Please give generously and follow my progress if you can, from 11/1/26 8am.

James is also planning to do the Edale to Hawes part of the Pennine Way for charity this Summer with a group of friends.

9/1/26 Since posting this I am staggered by everyone’s generosity. It means so much that Penny is kept in our thoughts and she will be there with me every step of the way. Hopefully one day a better understanding of this terrible disease will prevent further tragedies.
