Support Dogs Millers Dale Bridge Abseil · 18 May 2024 ·

Could you do the DROP for Support Dogs? Could you take on a 90 ft abseil drop for Support Dogs? Launching yourself from an old railway bridge into a narrow gorge, hanging over the arch of the bridge with 20 metres free hanging.

Story

Support Dogs train highly skilful assistance dogs to partner with adults and children suffering from life changing and life limiting disabilities and medical conditions.

In 2023, Support Dogs dogs provided over 600,000 hours of life saving support. A child with autism who is overwhelmed by the world now has a constant companion. An adult with epilepsy no longer lives in fear of an unexpected epileptic seizure. A person with a physical disability is able to regain their independence and no longer rely on family and friends.

It cost the charity around £26,000 to train a support dog and £2,500 every year to continue their training and support, all of which they provide free of charge.

Please give as generously as you can to support my fundraising for this lifechanging charity. I love being one of their foster carers and see first hand the marvellous work that they do.
