Leap of Love is Sands' Skydive. Hundreds of brave #SandsSuperstars will take to the skies to save babies' lives in 2025. They'll help us fund vital research and support those affected by the death of a baby.

Story

So, the time has come... I’ve been threatening this for a little while…

As most of you reading this will know, one thing that really scares me is flying. You’ll also know that over the last 18 months I’ve lost over 11.5 stone (and counting.) A target that I set myself was to get down to a weight that would allow me to do a skydive and I passed that a little while back and now I’ve gone and booked it! I’m already bricking it!

I want good things to come from my terror and so I’m asking for donations to raise money for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity that I have supported for many years. This charity holds a place in my heart and I’m doing this for them and in memory of Sidney John, who was born sleeping and too beautiful for this world in 2009. Please consider donating, every single penny raised will be given to Sands to help enable their work to continue.

Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.

We depend on the amazing energies of our supporters to raise the vital funds that we need to deliver the wide range of services that we offer. #TeamSands
