Story
I ran the 2024 London Marathon as a “spur of the moment” type of thing in memory of my Mum. Marie Curie nursed my Mum to her death from cancer of the oesophagus in 2000 and I had never said thank you. I had not distance run before and did not intend to distance run again.
The 2024 run was to atone for my omission and to raise funds. Did I get the running bug? Not really but I loved the fitness and the huge support and camaraderie. I ran the 2024 and 2025 Royal Parks Half for Marie Curie Such a great race. As I like symmetry in life, I thought I would close the loop / circle / square by a second London Marathon before I give my plimsols to Charity.
As a huge Beatles fan, I have a bit of a “when I am 64” moment in mind!
Once again it will not be fast and it will not be pretty but I know the hill that I am facing this time!
Let’s do it!
