Some of you reading this will have at some point or are currently dealing with a mental health issue, whether it be yourself or someone close to you.

I know I have.

I have suffered depression on and off over the past 20+ years, for some people that know me this may come as a surprise as, and I quote, “don’t seem the type”.

But the simple truth is mental health issues can take many forms; depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, PTSD, eating disorders to name a few.

They can affect anyone.

Talking to someone can be vital, some people think they don’t have anyone to talk to, but they do.

Samaritans respond to a call for help.

No judgement.

No pressure.

They are there for anyone who needs someone.

To raise funds for Samaritans UK & Ireland, Team BenQ are running the Vitality 10k in London on September 24th.

In addition to this, I’m also running my first (and perhaps my last!) half marathon in Derry, Northern Ireland on September 3rd.

Every pound donated to me and Team BenQ will be going to the Samaritans and the amazing work they do.
